Confidence on Camera

Ashley Yore and Ashleigh Walters have decades of experience and multiple awards between them in the field of journalism. As a result, they’ve built up a great deal of confidence delivering messages on–camera, and recognize how necessary that skill is for entrepreneurs and business leadership. When they decided to host a brief course about content creation for those groups, they hired Glowing Moon Media to record the presentations and provide an on-camera practice experience for attendees.

The photos and videos needed to portray the interactive nature of the presentation, and provide promotional material for future courses the hosts were starting to plan out. We recorded segments of the presentation to stitch together into highlight reels for social media, captured engaging stills of the hosts talking the audience through each concept, and offered our insights about business content creation when called upon for firsthand accounts. The single-camera setup we created in the back of the room allowed participants to engage with experienced recording professionals and practice some of the skills they’d learned about that day.

What was the strategic value of this content?

  1. The videos of the presentation enabled the hosts to show exactly what kind of experience could be expected in future sessions when they created ads or reached out directly to invitees.

  2. The ability to review recordings and photos of the event allowed the hosts to review the structure and delivery of their session, to determine what they could change or improve in the future.

  3. Recordings with attendees not only made it possible to put new skills directly into practice, but also provided recorded feedback directly from participants that could be integrated into future sessions.
