Colgate & Hispanic Heritage Foundation

Each year, Colgate partners with the Hispanic Heritage Foundation to award Haz La U scholarships to Hispanic high school students across the country, supporting their pursuit of higher education. For this project, Colgate and HHF commissioned our company, Glowing Moon Media because we specialize in brand storytelling video production. They wanted us to tell the story of one scholarship recipient, a freshman at the University of Florida pursuing a path toward immigration law, who in the years before college founded a nonprofit teaching young children to read and write in Spanish.

We worked closely with the student to capture her story in her own words, pairing interview footage with b-roll that reflected both her academic journey and the community work that defined her path to college. The result was a short-form brand storytelling piece that highlighted not just an individual achievement, but the broader impact of a scholarship program that has supported hundreds of students over more than a decade.

What was the strategic value of this content?

  1. Colgate's partnership with the Hispanic Heritage Foundation has run for over 10 years and awarded more than $900,000 in scholarships to over 400 students. A corporate video like this gives that long-running commitment a human face, turning a statistic into a story that resonates emotionally with audiences.

  2. For the scholarship recipient, this video became a piece of her own story: a professional, polished asset that captured a milestone moment in her academic and personal journey, with production value reflective of the achievement itself.

  3. For Colgate and HHF, the video serves as digital content that can be used across social media, press, and internal communications, demonstrating tangible outcomes of the Haz La U program and reinforcing their ongoing commitment to Hispanic communities during Hispanic Heritage Month and beyond.
